why do guys lie about things they do and who they hang out with?

okay first off ill say what a friend always tells me when i get like this girls lie just as much if not more................
and if theyre going out with you because they dont wanna get in trouble if you dont like what they do.......................
and if its regular girl wise but they like you they just dont want you to be turned off by what they really do so they lie so they wont get caught

pfffffft.....because we are retards.....lol well mostly because we really don't know what we want most times, and we usually try to hide it up by going out and doing stupid stuff. only when a guy is totally sure about something, will he stop lying. me i'm never sure about anything so my only option is to lie. i lie about going to the store to get apples. i'll probably tell somebody i got oranges instead. lol. but depends, maybe they want to avoid the fact that they don't want to be around a person and try to make up an excuse to not be around that person

the lie because they werent taught better or they are scared of wha t your gonna think. If they say they were hanging out with girls, you will probly get upset causing him to lie. In my opinion, its hard not to, hen you fel its somehting that could start an arguemnt or a fight. Hope it helps, try talking to him nicely, and put yourself in his shoes

Some type of gene they're born with i guess. kidding of course but I know how u feel. Alot of them constantly lie about what they do.
Some women do it too but men do it more.

men lack the capacity for honesty. they have to feel like they're in control and not you.and they think they can get away w/ it/ but us girls always know when something's not quite right. anyway that's just them. they don't really grow up until a/b 40.

cause they dont want to get "b*tched" at ... everytime i ask a guy why he lied, he always says its because he didnt want to get yelled at for doing it or didnt want to upset me...cause when they do lie its cause they did something or going to do something they know they shouldnt but do it anyways
