No, not as a real entity at least as an allegorical representative of the negative/evil and a mythological fall guy yes. The understanding of the devil has evolved and changed over time.

The Devil is not eternal,he was created to be destroyed, he will become some day the same as a bad dream, the same as all of his followers; evil people in this world, and demons that were once angels in Heaven.
So to say you believe in him----No I do not because he is not God! God is eternal and so am I in him; I believe there is a devil but I do not believe in him!
I do always prefer to teach the meaning of a word to help you understand! the Word Devil means accuser; many of your friends accuse you everyday and many people accuse themselves, this makes them the Devil; GREEK LEXICON -- STRONG'S NUMBER 1228
1228 diabolos {dee-ab'-ol-os} from 1225; TDNT -- 2:71,150; adj AV -- devil (35)
-- false accuser (2)
-- slanderer (1) [38]
1) prone to slander, slanderous, accusing falsely
1a) a calumniator, false accuser, slanderer, i.e. Satan the prince of the demons, the author of evil, persecuting good men, estranging mankind from God and enticing them to sin, afflicting them with diseases by means of demons who take possession of their bodies at his bidding.

I believe in Yahwah (YHVH) God.
I know that Satan, the Devil exists and that we live in his system of things. Have a really good look around you and the world that you live in. Can there be further proof that THIS system is his? Indeed, there will be more and more proof as time goes by.
I am no part of THIS, Satan's system, because I love Yahwah God and do His Will.

For a good description of Satan; Ezekiel Ch.28 V11-19. Satan has the most success with people who don't believe he exists as it makes it easier for him to manipulate them.
