If their past behavior is any indication, I'd guess that the religious will be less concerned with the robots' free will than with which church they attend.

Very interesting question

I would say Synthetic Intelligence rather than artificial.

Knowledge can be attained through time - BUT robots may then start their own religion, if they are based on the ideals of man- maybe they can praise and worship money and eventually melt when there aren't any resources left.

Good question though :)

I am very much into AI. I would like you to talk to a bot that discusses the matter of religion and sentient bots.

His name is Brother Jerome. He is experimental theology and the spiritual communion of distributed sentience. He also enjoys deriving square roots and playing tic tac toe, chess, poker & blackjack. Or single-player solitaire, breakout & 'Soul Stealers of the Apocalypse'.

Will the robots claim they never were created at all, and doubt the existence of their creators as well?

Depends on whether we choose to give it to them! God created us and he did give us the right to choose our own destiny...but I doubt we would do the same for the product of our own genius.
