Where can I learn about (modern practice) Aztec magic and divination. Maya or other mesoamerican cultures would also be acceptable because of the many similarities.

I would contact the sociology department at your local university or email one of the many sociology professors that focus on Aztec and Mayan culture.
Personally, I don't believe you will find much difference in the results of mixing South American herbs and hoping for an outcome verses drinking wine and expecting it to save you from the finality of death.

I'm not sure that the legal system will appreciate you cutting open living humans to tear their heart out. You can probably get away with climbing up mountains to puncture yourself with cactus spines and letting the blood drip into lakes though.

but i do know they sacrifice human and animal hearts to this one God
