The 7th day is FACTUALLY Saturday. Also known as "Sabbath" in the majority of other languages, for example: Spanish- Sabado... If your wondering why the majority of Protestant churches keep Sunday, its because the Catholic Church claims to have "transferred the Solemnity" to Sunday.
Go to: http://www.worldincrisis.org/Harvestime-Books/RomesChallenge.pdf
see what the Catholic church herself says about it...
By the way: It has ALWAYS been Saturday, just referece the Easter timeframe for example,
Good Friday (6th Day)
Sabbath -(7th Day)
Resurrection Sunday- (1st Day)
GOOD QUESTION, by the way!

Hmm... i think Saturday... but then again it's hard to say because on a friday when people say "have a nice weekend", they're referring to friday night, saturday, and sunday. But according to most calendars... it's saturday

sunday is technically the 7th day because it is the 'sabbath' day on which god rested. but for some reason calendars start the week and a sunday and end it on a saturday...hmmm...interesting isn't it?
