do you have to wait to go tanning

you should wait for the remainder of your life. in order for your tattoo to stay looking good you should avoid exposing your tattoo to uv rays, it breaks down the ink in your tattoo (sunscreen does not protect the ink from being broken down). if you don't care about how your tattoo or your skin will look in 5 years then tan all you want but if you want to be wrinkle free and have a nice looking tattoo you should stay away from the sun and tanning bed.

You should wait about 2 weeks so that it heals. If you decide to tan make sure that you put sunscreen over the tattoo always no matter how long it has been. this will keep your color nice and bright. If it is somewhere that you can cover, then cover it up while you tan with sunscreen and clothing.

I would probably wait until it's healed to go tanning (just over two weeks). Then when you do, be sure to cover it with sunscreen, UV rays will fade the ink.

You should not tan a tattoo. It will fade and lose color. Unless you absolutely don't care.
