i don't hate atheists, and this is unhappy that different Christians do. no one could hate yet another. this is the Christians like that that supply something human beings a undesirable call. those are the immature Christians who probable have not even examine their bibles. yet a great style of Atheists are not precisely the nicest human beings the two. distinctly around right here. D: yet there are persons that are respectable. And respectable is what Christians could aspire to be. I hate it that different so stated as Christians ruin what actual Christianity could be! yet that's the way the international works... the Bible DOES say that the international will hate us.

I have to be careful because my thirteen year old granddaughter has announced that she, and her two younger brothers, are atheists!
I think what would give that impression is that some tend to mock Christians for doing what I think are good things e.g. working to end poverty, befriending those who are on the margin of society like refugees, being responsible in the way they spend money and use the resources of the world etc etc and, as a group, they never seem to want to say what they belive constitutes a good life.
I loved the reply from ib_centaur. I just wish I thought it was right!

There are good and bad people in every religion, country, state, etc. When I meet someone I don't ask them if they are Christian or not to deem them a good, a nice person, or even a caring person. I have see many wonderful and good people on here that were atheist and I have zero problems with them. There are some people here regardless of their beliefs are just as hateful as they can be and that is sad.

I can only speak for myself, and I don't think that, just some are very arrogant and rude to us and sometimes that angers me and I lash out with my opinion of them, as individuals, not at the whole atheist population.I get so tired of atheist saying we try to shove stuff down their throats,if they would leave us alone and stop trying to bait us with nasty comments and posting dumb insulting questions on this forum, we would not say anything at all to them. That's just my take on the situation EDIT>>> they just proved me right, you asked a question of christans and the first answer was fron an atheist, half the answers came from them, when no body asked their opinion, they just butt in and take over,, I don't hate anyone.

Why DO christians
Anyways...
I don't think they all do, even some of the people here have admitted that I might not be satan.
But basically, it's the bible; it's really big on the law of excluded middle.
With god, or against god.
Against god, with satan.
God is good.
All good things come from god
....
There's a twisted (and oddly simplistic) logic there.
It's actually a nice construct if you look at it. If someone disagrees, its because they're lying, or wrong. If they do good it's satan's tricks. If they prove you wrong, they're mistaken, it was a parable...
I've never seen a religion with so many inbuilt defences... it's like they deliberately set themselves up for martyrdom... and want people to attack them so they can feel better about their faith... It's pretty cool to see.

Most Christians doesn't consider atheists as bad people. The problem is that some people enter this forum claiming to be Christians and then bash at atheists, just for fun.
True Christians have lots of faith, love and understanding. They are such nice people that do not care what you believe (or don't believe), they will still respectand love you.

If a person really loves God, it is hard to see why they would be evil. I think Christians are right in assuming this. However, some Christians erroneously take this in a weaker form; If a person really BELIEVES in God, it is hard to see why they would be evil.
Believing in God, does not mean the person will not do evil deeds. For example, Cain held conversations with God, but still murdered his brother.
Loving God involves more of a commitment, than just believing in God's existence.

Why do people stereotype Christians so much?
As a Christian, I think most people -- Christian, Atheist, or whatever -- are good people. But in every barrel -- Christian, Atheist, or whatever -- you'll find a few bad apples.

Because Christians are blind to see "what's really going on". They like living in a fantasy world, where they are the good guy and everyone else is bad.

I am a Christian. I don't think atheists are bad people. I can't help but notice something though. Why is it , when a question is asked about Christians and what they think, a non Christian always feels compelled to answer for us.
Take your first answerer, for example.
