I am a Life Governor of the R.N.L.I., an Organisation where people risk their own lives to save others.
At 70 I cannot offer physical help so I would certainly want to support my chosen Charity with a monetary donation.
If it were a large enough windfall, I'd like to buy a new lifeboat.
How much better than leaving it all for the kids to spend on wild parties and globe-trotting?

I wouldn't see any harm in giving some of it to charity if its a real large amount. But i'd probably focus on paying off debts and taking care of every one in the family first, which in a way is charity work.

Definitely and I would also place a certain amount of it in the bank so that the interest could continually be taken off and used to benefit preferred charities, instead of being given in one go.

Honestly, yes. I already give to my church and other charities, so all see is the amount going up. If you believe in helping others then you will do what you feel is best for yourself. I would definitely do more to help those in need.

Yes, I would. I give money to charity even now - just a little now and then when I can and I certainly don't have 'serious money'.

Yes, I would. But honestly, it wouldn't be the first thing on my list. So, after my transatlantic cruise, moving into a bigger house, breaking in the new car and upon arriving home from a month at a spa....I'd write out a couple of big fat checks for my favorite causes.

I would give a little, but i might be more inclined to send cash anomymously to folks in need, than deal with any given charity

If you believe in a special charity I would. I just became a member of R.O.A.R. to help stop animal abuse, cause I know they really help these pets that are abused and cant change there life them self.

I would make sure that me and my family were ok first, then give a little of it to a charity that meant something to me.
