The word "Religious" has negative and positive connotations. For instance, some people act religiously, like going to church or burning candles or praying, but are not spiritual - they do not really know God Himself in their lives.

So in a negative sense, a person having a religious spirit could be a person who imposes rules on himself or others to follow certain practices even though they don't believe in God.

"after all 'mind' .. must come from 'GOD'!!" does not really clarify your argument, sorry.

Basically the same I guess. But to me having a religious spirit is one that is constantly with you and you feel Jesus in your heart all the time. He walks with you everyday. You talk with Him and know Him and He knows you.
Religious spiritually, can mean you are religious in mind and do believe, but don't follow all His word. You remember Him and what is right and wrong and you know His spirit is there.==

There is a diff, the disciples of Jesus were asking Jesus questions about the spirit life and he rebuked them saying that the way that think now means that they would not understand he's spiritual answers, and so there you have it religion is a base understanding and spiritual understanding is the key goal.

The phrase 'having a religious spirit' usually refers to having a demonic spirit.
