Great question!I can ALWAYS tell when my b/f is lying and always catch him out.He acts differently and nervously and wont look at me first of all but It really bugs me when he looks straight at me and lies to my face when I know without any doubt he is lying.

The eyes are the window to the soul. Some people are poor liars and you can tell. Others are more experienced and its hard to tell. If you can't tell by the eyes, look at other body language (shifting body weight, squirming,change in tone of voice etc), these are good indications that the person is uncomfortable and lying. The eyes and body language are things we do without even realizing it, we are not concious of it so we can't mask it.

well when my son was little say maybe 5/6yrs old if he lied i could always tell cos his face would change and he wouldnt be able to look me in the eyes,its been a joke with him and i since theen even now i can tell as his face goes the same way andd he avoids eye contact.im talking about little things not major things.so i say yes you can tell if someone is lying through their eyes..

not nesseraly in some people yes but mostly it is body languag and heart rate with a lil temprature increase. so you may want to hold their hand if you can and then ask thim if they are lying you should be able to feel it in them but watch for figiting and weit shifting and workds like ummmm.... or of that type look for the lil things that will be the best indacator. i have taught my self not to desplay any signs when i am lying and no one i know can tell when i lye at all

Yes, the eyes go all shifty , looking up at the ceiling looking like they look for a way out but the dead give-away to me is something touching there hair and playing with the ear-lobe.:)

For starters - a person cannot keep eye contact when they are lying and also they pupils change size very dramatically
To be honest YOUR gut instinct will tell you when someone is lying to you

i don't think it can by looking in their eyes, but i just know when they are telling lies

90 percent of people that lie will look to the left if they are talking to you face to face when they lie.i can almost always tell if someone tells me a lie.most people that lie want let you look them in the eye when they lie.

I can, if she is truthful, she can look directly into my eyes, otherwise she will glance away or at other things. Also while doing this hold her hands and if lying hands will get clammy
