to be mortal a sin requires full freedom of will, including psychological. Most people who hurt themself are not fully free psychologically. They should seek help, as you are doing. but in terms of communion, in the meantime, you need to understand that God understands what their deepest heart intends, and desires. You should receive Holy Communion. find someone you can pray with. above all trust in His love. He is with you at all times.

Yes and no. In many cases it is simply one of the symptoms of a serious emotional illness.
As to if it is a mortal sin. Only you can truly answer that. Look into your heart, do you feel seperated from God? If not then no you have committed no mortal sin.

Self injury is a sign of evil spirits within you. By indulging in cults, magic, witchcraft, sorcery, divination you have invited evil into yourself. You are requiring negative attention.

Find a deliverance ministry in your area and let them know that you are cutting yourself and inflicting hurt upon your body.
Until you get to see them, read in the Holy Bible everyday.

Good question but I think the only "sin" according to Catholicism that can't be "forgiven" is suicide.
