Hello Bill T,

Firstly I must say I laughed when I read this question! Simply because I loved the way you worded it - very visual!

Well your cat loves you very much to do this, he does it because he wants to tell you how much he loves and appriciates what you do for him, Well done! You have one happy cat!

Hope your cat brings you many more years of happiness!

Feel free to email me with any questions at any time, ill be happy to help.

Kindest regards,
Amanda.

As stated above this rubbing, and most all other rubbing, is a sign of affection, but it also is a way of the cat marking you it's territory. Cat's have scent glands between their eyes and ears and near the base of their tail, it is still a sign of affection, but it also likely means, this thing is mine.

whilst 2 friendly cats meet they'll in many cases have interaction in head rubbing and now and back delicate head bumping. it rather is a cheery hi, or the cat equivalent of a handshake. in the journey that your cat makes use of her head to greet you in this form she is using cat physique language to tell you that she is delighted to be sure you.

I agree with everyone here. My cat does this too. He does this to me know he wants to be petted and that he likes me. I treat him like if he were my child.
Enjoy your kitty!

They are showing their affection. My cat will do that to me. She will also push up my arm so I would pet her.

It's a cat to cat greeting saying 'I REALLY like you'. The fact they're doing it to you means they're treating you like a friend cat.

cats have scent glands on their paws and face. this is a sign of affection in that, they are sort of "marking" you as theirs, leaving their scent on you to say "this is mine! i love this!"
