As many other Jews are to obey Leviticus law of not trimming or using a razor...how are we to keep our beards?

I trim mine without a razor...I use scissors.

it says just the corners/rounding of the beard. SO I just have a goatee and trim it with scissors.

Depends what HaShem lays on your heart my brother.

Perhaps these laws are too old and had a proper place when they were made but not anymore.

I think it's why the Messiah keeps coming back every 1000 years, it's to keep God's words up to date and easily understood on a human level, but the Messiah has to be recognized somehow and honored.

I think lots of religions are full of superstitions, like in Hinduism or Christianity, that are just ridiculous, that may have had a relevance a long time ago.

many people reprimanded me firmly that "Messianic Jew" is an oxymoron, for the terms are both exclusive, and neither inclusive. To be a true believer (In scripture) allows you either to A) accept that guidance literally, and wear long hair and beard or B) to understand that that injunction was specific, and prohibited following certain peculiar heathen customs of the time. (In either case, of course you might be wrong, but if you are choosing to do YHVH's will, and to understand as best you can, we believe that He will accept you.)

Messianic Jews follow the same rules as other Christians. you can wear your beard which ever style you choose it does not make a spiritual difference.

Do you think this refers to beards or just the hair that grows from the top of your head?

Ezekiel 44:15 "'But the Levitical priests, who are descendants of Zadok and who guarded my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, are to come near to minister before me; they are to stand before me to offer sacrifices of fat and blood, declares the Sovereign LORD. 16 They alone are to enter my sanctuary; they alone are to come near my table to minister before me and serve me as guards.

17 "'When they enter the gates of the inner court, they are to wear linen clothes; they must not wear any woolen garment while ministering at the gates of the inner court or inside the temple. 18 They are to wear linen turbans on their heads and linen undergarments around their waists. They must not wear anything that makes them perspire. 19 When they go out into the outer court where the people are, they are to take off the clothes they have been ministering in and are to leave them in the sacred rooms, and put on other clothes, so that the people are not consecrated through contact with their garments. 20 "'They must not shave their heads or let their hair grow long, but they are to keep the hair of their heads trimmed.

Now that is interpreted from congregation and region.. where I am most keep the beard , some trim , some do not..
A few even shave.. Our particular order, we are allowed to trim , but those in office must display beard.
As a member of the Messianic Sanhedrin I believe in the beard, and keep one. I fired 2 barbers for trimming improperly and to much.

Did YOU.... miss this....I surely Did NOT.....!

(James 2:9-10) But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin and are convicted by the Law as transgressors.

(Jam 2:10) For whoever shall keep the whole Law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Thanks, RR

We are no longer under the law, as Jesus fulfilled the law.
