I was diagnosed with glandular fever about 7-8 months ago. Is it possible that I still have it? I do feel very tired and my limbs ache from time to time. Should I have a blood test to see if I still have it?

After an initial prodrome of 1-2 weeks, the fatigue of infectious mononucleosis often lasts from 1-2 months. The virus can remain dormant in the B cells indefinitely after symptoms have disappeared, and resurface at a later date. Many people exposed to the Epstein-Barr virus do not show symptoms of the disease, but carry the virus. This is especially true in children, in whom infection seldom causes more than a very mild cold which often goes undiagnosed. Children are typically just carriers of the disease. This feature, along with mono's long (4 to 6 week) incubation period, makes epidemiological control of the disease impractical. About 6% of people who have had infectious mononucleosis will relapse.

If you are worried see a doc

yes, and then some.....
many times those who have been diagnosed with EBV (mono, ie, glandular fever) often have been misdiagnosed.
it is possible to actually have hepatitis c- especially if the symtpoms do not go away.
there is however, besides hcv, a chance that you might have CEBV- or chronic epstein barr virus, ie, chronic mono.

I think that you need to test for hcv antibodies. Most often the doctors only look at a regular blood liver panel test. They look at your enzyme levels (alt and ast). If they appear normal many doctors do not do any further testing. In the case of HCV infection or Hepatitis C, not always to the enzymes show an increase. This is why so many go undiagnosed.
Have the doc check for hepatitis c antibodies.

good luck!
