My neighbour is an a....o
he called the cops on me twice for laughin during the day and
cheeing at a game that was at 1pm ( it lasted only 60 minutes)
I have card parties once a week and we do laugh a lot but its not constant and its only for an hour or two during the day.
The game we watch is every Saturday and it lasta 60 minutes.
I think its absurd to call the cops for noise thats not constant...and its not after hours...
THe cop said that they can fine me w/ code enforcmnt if they come out 2 more times.
ANyone knows the rules for this?

Obviously your neighbor is an *** for calling the cops instead of talking to u first, and if the cops gave u the rules and told u they will fine u, then yeah I'd keep it down or move somewhere else.

I gather this is an apartment, with thin walls? Maybe this is something the management needs to address, like adding sound proofing or something. Talk to them about the problem. In the meantime, why don't you get to know your neighbor. Have a friendly chat with him about the issue. Maybe you can come up with a compromise.

Your neighbour sounds ridiculous and a real saddo. Give him something to really complain about. Hire a PA system from your local music shop for a few days, and rig it up to the tv and amplify what you're watching. That should sort him out. Tit that he is.
