Yes, this is normal. There are two causes. and both are probably present. One is simply (!!!) eye-strain, which goes with any intense computer-work.
The other is neurological and specific to language-learning of certain (if not all) styles. The new material is being very consciously attended to by areas of the brain that are quite distinct from those areas that will be active in the future, when you start using your new language in a more or less natural way. So much ping-ponging in the brain is wearisome. These head-aches can make the learner feel as though he is having a stroke.

No. Maybe it's just the strain, or you're trying too hard. Go to a doctor, or try using some thing like Vicks at the beginning of the lesson. When the feeling of 'coolness' goes off, wash your face with preferably warm water and reapply it.
