One should always question what one is taught. If one is taught the truth, then that truth will stand up to questioning. When I began to question what my christian family and teachers taught me as truth, such as who really wrote the bible and the thousands of variations of it and the constant contradictions in it, I found that I wasn't taught the truth, just some beliefs that were handed down and re-written over the generations. I'm much happier and more sure of the truth now that I've rejected the super natural. Call me an honest Atheist rather than a liar for Jesus anyday.

The Truth is one. And is in God essence. Doesn`t matter about peoples or times or weather or science or even atheism. Also comunism was a blackness that cover the truth. And the truth survive. In my country are a lot of peoples wich was murdered because they belive in Jesus Christ and not in Lenin or Marx or Engles. And also are a lot of other people wich was persecuted and after 50 years they saw the statues of Lenin, Marx, Stalin destroyed and churches opened.
So, my opinion is that the Truth is for eternity. Depend of our lifes what we do with the truth. We will covered or will expose to the other?

When an Atheist asks a question, I give an answer that is typically not for the Asker. My answers to Atheist questions tend to be for those who want to know God.
But Jesus said some things which correspond to the rest of the Bible, those who were not meant to understand wont understand.
So I can talk about the Bible all day long and Atheists who have no desire to know God still wont know what I am talking about.

Us = we
You might want to use either christians/atheists or christianity/atheism. Sounds better.
And caps lock is the key on the left... the one with a down arrow (usually).
also, "atheism fire" sounds odd, "atheist fire"? "fire of atheism"? "atheists' fire"?
And Truth, capitalized after .
Anyways, please do. We're pretty envious because your truth is bigger; it tends to have at least one more capital letter, sometimes all of them. We'd like one of those. Will you be needing it back?

I think those above me missed the point of your question. You are asking if Christians should take such actions as reading Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris and others. It should be an act of faith to renounce faith - in the sense of "If you love something set it free...."
I say it is a valid epistemological strategy.

"Our truth"is the operative word here. There's either truth or there's no truth, no "our truth".

Truth is backed up with proof. What valid proof do you have that there is a god?
