Is it alright for me to download a song thar I have the CD for using Limewire or BitTorrent in order to back the song up? The problem is, I have the CD but I cannot find it!

Actually, yeah, if you own the CD or something similar, than you own the rights to its use, that extends to downloading the file for use on your computer. Remember though, you have to own something with that song on it, or it is illegal.

No, its illegal. U have the legal rights to the song on the cd not the limewire file. Legally u need to use the cd. But.....

Dude, big deal! It's just a song! Why do you guys make it such a big deal to download songs? It's not like you do it all the time. And the fact that you are hesitating is enough non-support to Piracy, just go ahead and download it.
