For some it would be heaven especially since slavery would still exist, a man could beat his wife and not be looked down on, a man would HAVE to legally marry his sister-n-law (if the brother dies), a man could marry his sister and no one would think it strange. Birth control would not exist, pedophiles could legally marry under aged girls. YES the U.S. would be a much better place if "god's laws" were followed.

I believe, first of all, the the USA is a FAR better place to be and live than Iran...and I do not see Iran following God's law either. As to the USA being a better place, if everyone had some respect for, and consideration of, and tolerance for everyone else, THAT would make the USA a better place.

No, imagine a rule making it wrong to pray anywhere but your closet or outlawing premarital sex.

Governmental laws should not be influenced by morality or religion.

Edit:
People, Islamic countries sited above are an example of countries following their god's laws in their government. Sheesh, we all know that Islamic countries do not follow christianity.

The laws are enforced on women against their will.
In America people are free to follow God's law or not. America is a better place when people have a conscience and respect God.

If a man could live up to God's righteousness then the world would be perfect.
Man tried and failed all men sin and inherited death.
It is the reason God came to this world to overcome sin and death for man and fulfilled the law that all who accept the atonement through Jesus Christ our lord we would not perish but have everlasting life.

It would depend on which version of god and which version of his laws.
If you mean the christian version with no killing for others natural resourses. No greed and the sharing of wealth, the sanctity of life. In general what Jesus actually preached. Yes it would make a world of difference, and at last maybe there would be a reason to respect Americans..!!

It would be much better if each person accepted the direction of the Almighty as it applies to his choices. If people tried to force their ideas on others, or if the government did, it would be worse.

That will never happen. As many Americans as there are, there are also that many ideas of whom God is. Forcing your idea of God onto me would cause opposition and ultimately conflict. America,as the Judeo-Christian God, preaches tolerance.
I think tolerance is a very good thing for America.

The funny thing is thats what our forefathers found the great land on non believers and folks just looking for somthing to start a fight over have made it what it is today. With all the wrong in the world, i believe its a bad time to to be taking God and Prayer out of everything we do....
