They say that when you stop looking, it finds you.
My heart was crushed several times. I took a 2 year break. I met a guy and was just friends for almost 2 years and then we started dating a year ago. I know I love him. I am 40 years old now and it has been worth the wait.

You should always love yourself first and forever-but No-do not give up on finding your true love/soul mate-My suggestion - don't immediately look for a true love when you start dating, just let things fall into place naturally/on their own-if you start judging someone's "truelove potential" as soon as you start dating them-you'll most likely end up disappointed-you can be with someone for years and not realize that that person is your soul mate, however you'll know that there is something special about this person and about the way they make you feel.

Well, first I will love myself forever, but I would like to find my true love after searching for a long time...it would make the journey worth it.

When I decided to become a cat lady- I found my husband. Weird huh, I never ended up getting a zillion cats though. So, I would say, after searching a long time. Don't give up!

You have to learn to love yourself before you can love another. That said, sometimes, for some people, as far as finding someone goes, it's just not going to happen (I'm not being negative, this is just a fact). In that case, you have to accept reality and find another direction for your life, which, to put it bluntly means to "just give up searching."

I have been crushed many times but I will keep looking. I have to. Call me crazy but what is life with out love? So I will look for as long as it takes. Maybe it will find me, who knows.

I was 46 before I met my angel. And it was more than worth the wait. As Churchill said "NEVER NEVER GIVE UP"
