I think that we should help the environment (plant trees, etc) but not over do it, because often humans think theyre smarter than nature (theyre not) and over help. This causes things to just get worse.

No, and till you reside in a community that traditionally had timber and has quite some water, you mustn't the two. timber for the sake of timber only helps your ethical experience, no longer the ecosystem. the place I stay there are no longer any close by timber and it only rains 6-10 inches each and every twelve months, that's all taken up by utilising shrubs and grasses. Planting timber right here could certainly harm the ecosystem. additionally, timber or different dark colored flora can boost international warming in the event that they are planted interior the incorrect places.

Thanks for a postive post! Much wisdom you have shared...

I have been getting Mother Earth News for over thirty years now. They have a huge archive of all their articles dating back to the seventies.

If you do a search, it is amazing how old some of the environmental issues are, and how much progress has been made in some areas, and how we have gone backwards in others.

Do a search on "Ecoscience" and read the article by Paul and Anne Erlich written in 1981... it sounds like it was written yesterday.

And yes, I am an old hippie and proud of it!

Peace Man!

i agree in helping the environment and i think that if you only build a green house it is not to helpful at all because it is too little compared to our own forest so i suggest that saving first our forest would be the first priority

Isn't helping the children just a little more important? How can you be so selfish to think about what you care about and not think about the children?

The environment will last well beyond man. The children are our future.
