It is safe with ebay, as ebay own PayPal, but it is just as safe to use nochex (cheaper).
PayPal is forced onto you by ebay, AND IF A FRAUDSTER CONS YOU, PAYPAL AND EBAY WILL NOT HELP YOU UNLESS THREATENED WITH THE POLICE.
It is safe, but far from perfect.

A credit card is safe for Paypal and I use it all the time with Ebay. When you are going to make a purchase on Ebay, Paypal is the middle interceptor, paying for your purchase but never disclosing your personal information. I prefer credit card on Paypal over bank account because credit card is an instant payment and more sellers prefer receiving payment in this way.

No, but you do need a debit card linked to your checking account. And it is better for you if you have a credit card designated just for Paypal, and used only for that. Easier to track your account. Paypal is safe, but be aware of scammers and your email. Before you buy on Ebay, check out all you can on that Sellers page to determine if it is a good risk. All of ebay is a risk...Most of the sellers are just honest people selling their wares. Many are scamming you with excessive postage charges to make up the money they lose from listing to low. Be aware and do your research.

credit card, debit card, checking account I have paypal set up on Ebay and never had a problem with it. I done Christmas shopping with paypal

You can register your bank account with Paypal - so you don't necessarily need a credit card, but you do need a bank account. And yes, Paypal is very safe.

No, you can use a bank account. PayPal was purchased by ebay many years ago, so yes it is safe with ebay.

Yeah i use it and i think its pretty safe you need a debit or credit card!
