I have a few thoughts. The first is the easiest. In the supermarket they have these oven bags that come with the seasoning with it. Just follow the directions using a pot roast. It's really easy and tastes pretty good. If you like pop a few potatoes, baby carrots and onions in there.
The second thought is a steak. Don't be afraid to make a steak. The key is to make sure that you follow these directions you cant mess it up for a nicely medium rare steak. I suggest a bone in Delmonico or Ribeye. They are fatty, but really good. Before you begin cooking the steak let them come to room temperature. Should only take about 1/2 hour. While you are doing this sautee up some onions and/or mushrooms in equal parts olive oil and butter with salt and pepper. Then turn your oven on broil and let it get really hot. I would say about 10 minutes. Then salt and pepper your steak liberally on both sides and pop it in the broiler. If the steaks are about 1" thick you should cook them about 6 minutes per side. Then take them out and let them sit on the counter for about 5 minutes before you serve. No fail. For sides buy them. Green giant makes some great veggie sides. Mine likes the green bean casserole and the spinach souffle. You can do the same with potatoes. There are a ton of bagged frozen potatoes that are seasoned. Also, in the dairy section there are mashed potatoes that are pretty good.

Well since you do not cook you'll want to start with something pretty basic, would suggest a comforting Shepard's Pie. it is simple and delicious and will fill you up well if you plan on doing any drinking.
1- 11/2 lbs hamburger Hamburger Meat
1 med Onion
1 stalks Celery
1/2 Green Pepper (1 whole pepper if small)
1 tsp garlic
black papper to taste
1 stock cube - beef
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp. oregano
2. tsp thyme If you have it
5 Potatoes for mashing
Cheddar cheese- shredded
either a can of mixed vegetable or about a 1/4 package of frozen ( you reallt can use anything you have or like, peas, corn, green beans, etc.)
Directions:
Step 1 ...Cut up your celery and onion, pepper in bite size pieces, saute in a little oil, until onion is translucent. Remove vegetables, add hamburger and cook until done. drain.
Add all your spices and stock cube and 1/4 cup water. Let simmer 10 minutes. .
Step 2 ..Make your potato's - approximate 5 potatos peel boil until tender, drain and mash.
. (For added flavor to your potatoes, add some onion powder, salt and pepper, butter or what ever spices you like. (A TBL of mayonaise will make them rich in flavor and very few know why your potato's are so great!)
In a casserole dish place the meat mixture on the bottom, add a thin lyer of veggies, cover with potatoes and top with the cheese.
Bake on 350 degree's for 20 minutes or ntil is bubbl y and potatoes are just starting of brown. Or you may put in microwave to a few minutes to melt the cheese!
Careful: will be hot!!
