I have been wondering. I mean I dropped not so subtle hints that I was interested in this gentlemen who have been liking me for some time. However, it took me awhile to realize this was the case.

I smiled at him all the time, went out of my way to speak to him and say high every time I saw him. I even would purposely call him over to ask him questions just, so I could talk to him. I went so far as to give him my business card and told him he could call if he ever wanted to talk. I sent him a letter congratulating him on his promotion. I went to congratulate him in person, because his new office is right across the street from my office. He still didn't get it. I followed up with a letter informing him that I found him to be kind and pleasant and would welcome the opportunity to get to know him. I even invited him to drop by my office or call and we could have lunch. After all that, I think he still thinks I was just being professional and friendly. Is that a bad thing?

Sorry but speaking as a guy who has been hurt and used many times before (I'm not a teenager, I'm a grown man), if you did that with me, I wouldn't think you are giving hints either, I would just think you are being friendly.

Maybe he is the same, maybe he is non assuming and is not trying to make you uncomfortable by asking you out (and then being rejected, as he may well expect). Look the best thing to do is if YOU take the initative - ask him out, make the first me, don't just beat around the bush.

Yes Guys need girls to be more specific because girls send out so many mixed signals it gets very confusing to us guys

be grateful that he respects you and your profession but give it some time it will eventually dawn on him keep the friendship going for now.

Maybe he could be involved with someone else and strictly sees you as a acquittance stay close look a Little deeper into his eyes stand just a Little bit more closer to him when keep obstacles from between you two i mean desk chairs tables stuff like that when you talk but remember not to close OK try touching him be subtle first friendly like and i stress friendly touching then See how he reacts to that if its going well then hold his hand for 10 seconds touch is powerful one touch from you could set it all off

Try having conversation about romance by talking about one of your favorite romance novels or characters give insight on what you believe to be romantic get his opinion to get him to talk about what dose he consider romantic stuff like that get him to relax and open up

Well if he followed you up on all of your invites and you know that he has been liking you for some time maybe he is afraid of commitment , or has trust issues both are hard to break. Maybe he already has a girl-friend or is gay. I hope everything goes well for you two!

After so many occasions in which a woman has given me clear signs, then rejected me upon approach, I can see why so many men don't know, aren't sure, or don't trust. Also maybe he's just not that interested.

not everyone will see you as someone that is available for romance. I have several women in my life I treat as sister friends.
just because a man doesn't knock you down and jump on your bones doesn't mean he isn't interested.
why not just sit down with this guy and talk to him to his face if you're having such an issue?
communication is THE key to all relationships.
