Actually I'm not mixing anything or being confused.

It's something Hindu parents tell their kids in India supposedly.

Penguin guy,

My parents taught me nothing about my current religion, and nothing about my former religion.

You try to act as if I'm ignorant then you believe whatever CNN tells you to believe about Islam.

Two words: You fail.

Ray,

You're mixing-up Hinduism with Islam.

Hindus don't believe Shiva got stuck in a box and Muslims have never connected Shiva with the Kaaba.

customary question. Why Hinduism is improperly misrepresented as Idol worship? answer. the 1st reason is that the quite a few practices by utilising distinctive cultures in India that don't have a non secular call have been conglomerated right into a kit talked approximately as 'Hinduism' by utilising foreigners and the pity is such an action has been known by utilising the Indians themselves! the quite a few practices comprise pagan worship, nature worship, image worship, idol worship, no idols etc. If 'Hinduism' is a faith how ought to or no longer that's achievable for many certainly one of those particularly some practices interior its fold? subsequently, that's obvious that what's practiced in Indian context is a unfastened lifestyle that have been traditionally surpassed down by utilising the ancestors belonging to distinctive close by areas and not any synthetic guy-created faith. So, without formal situation, what the foreigners have finished is to kit and form the lifestyle as a faith and related it with idol-worship which replaced into conveniently considered by utilising them, with little resistance from the practitioners themselves! the 2nd reason is that the elementary scriptures touching directly to God are in Sanskrit language, which the common human beings are no longer proficient with what certainly they say, yet on an identical had no compulsion to stay with in prepare what the scriptures have stated. the reality the scriptures very needless to say say that God can not be constrained by utilising a form isn't straightforward to straightforward human beings. The absence of a non secular dictate, that's a needed ingredient of a guy made faith, has made human beings to coach their very own approach that comprise idol worship. that's subsequently no longer a fault of scriptures. Nor the human beings could be faulted, as God does no longer get 'indignant' if worshiped in a form! Counter question- Did God forbid all of us to make photograph of him or attempting to discern him out? needless to say no!
