if you dad has insurance on his car, ANYONE he gives permission to can drive his car and be covered as long as they are licensed. if they live with him, they need to be listed as a driver on the policy. if they do not live in his home, then they are not required to be on the policy. insurance follows the auto, not the driver.

Recently I was shoping for a new insurance company . I shopped around all the big companys. and for me they were all way overpriced. the last call I made was to E_SURRANCE I have 4 cars, 2 fully covered 2 with minimum liability. I also chose NON INSURED DRIVER which covers drivers not listed on the policy, 4 cars $ 2,200 for the year.
