I met Ken Schrader back in '84 at my home track, Macon Speedway, in Macon, IL. At the rained-out "Herald & Review 100" in 1987, I was behind Kenny as we pushed his car back in the trailer, AND stood and talked to him for over 2 hours after everyone else had left. Flash forward 23 years, and now Kenny OWNS Macon Speedway, along with Kenny Wallace, and Tony Stewart. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend any races this year, so I didn't get to meet Kenny W or Tony when they visited Macon this year, nor did I get to meet the 15 or so other NASCAR drivers that were there for the "Night of NASCAR Stars" (which was on Speed earlier this summer). I also got to meet Bill Elliott at his old shop in Dawsonville, GA in 1986. I also got to meet his brother Dan, and got to watch Bill do tricks in his airplane. Bill was really nice. I almost got to meet Mike Wallace back in '87 at a race near White City Illinois. If his pit crew hadn't been such asses towards me during one of our heats, I might have went over to talk to him after the races.

This is a cool question and it was truly awesome to read some of the answers. Though I can't understand why if you haven't met any drivers, you would even respond lol...I've had to work for who I've met, however the list isn't too bad. I've met Mike Skinner, Steve Park, David Ragan, Sterling Marlin, Clint Bowyer, Robby Gordon, Adam Petty, Danny O'Quinn Jr., Ned Jarrett. For you old timers, I've had personal correspondence with Rex White, Marvin Panch and plan on catching them at the Living Legends of Racing meet at Ponce Inlet this year. I've met legendary crew chief and former owner Ray Fox, crew chiefs Larry MacReynolds, and Jeff Hammond. I've also met legendary tire changer for Dale Earnhardt, Danny "Chocolate" Myers. I have a pretty good collection of autographs. It's been a neat ride and I look forward to meeting more folks inside of NASCAR.

Because of my involvement with the Historic Stock Car Racing Series (http://www.hscrs.com), I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting and spending time with NASCAR drivers Bobby Allison, Hut Stricklin, Steve Grissom, Brett Bodine, Ernie Irvan, Lake Speed, Bill Elliott and Darrell Waltrip, as well as with other (rather) famous drivers like Lyn St. James, Bruce Canepa, Gene Felton and Vic Edelbrock.

In all instances, these drivers are among the nicest and most down-to-earth folks you'll ever hope to meet.
