speaking of the computer...houston has a thing called HAL-PC...possible dot org...
see if it has any activities listed our maybe churches...who knows. I have been on that site in a while.
I have family down in Houston. It seems nice. I am a rapper and they have a big rap community.
I hope you find a niche in Houston...even if this was a computer question.

I moved from the east coast to the west and did this. it is not a very hard task. If that is what you mean?

Thanks for the opportunity

Good Luck in your new city and life.

I have the greatest respect for the people that were effected by this tragedy .....

If you're talking about changing your residency from Louisiana to Texas, you should have done that a couple years ago. You'd've saved a bunch of money on your state income taxes because Texas doesn't have one.

To change your address, go to the post office.
They have a number of "change of address" forms.

Also, you need to go to the DMV, to put a new Texas license plate on your car.

Use your internet to look up contact info to the Dept of Labor over there and any other social services.....they can get you set up free of charge - even with skills/places to live, etc.

Use your resources.
