Do you think that being ugly can be a good thing???

I know it sounds crazy but for me I would say yes ^__^ .
I have always felt ugly, unwanted and stepped over. It was like no matter what I do I would feel less in comparison with other cool and handsome guys weather at school or college. until I realized that me being ugly actually gives me a constant motivation to work on myself and become the best and the most successful person that I can ever be. yes, I do spend lots of time in my house but I use it well, for ex. studying more hours, study investing and busieness, drawing and modeling in 3d max, finding a new hobby .....and I won't attract girls for the wrong reasons :)

I'm ugly meself, and I'm loving almost every moment of it. Like you said, it really motivates you to try and become the best person you can be- though I can't do much about looks, I do try my best on schoolwork while the more popular people are out partying.

There's a reason why I'm getting better grades than them.

Yes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I am sure there is someone out there for you. Until then, focus your priorities on studies, money and your hobbies. You will have your life in order before you find true love. That is a good thing!! Take care and have a great 2008!!!

I don't know if i am ugly, honestly i don't really care.
I just want to be me and like myself for who i am, because i don't like myself how can i expect others to like me?
Some people are more what you say, Lucky, than others, what i learned from being more solitudional is that i don't want to spend my life being jealous and hating on others who are so called "better" than me, i'm tired of watching others live life, so i learned that it is MY life and i will live it the way I want.

and i think we have both became real people.

In my opinion, there is no such word as ugly. It's the inside that matters, don't care what others think. As some people might have told you, some people are more attractive than others. But you know, that you are a nice person. No one is ugly. We are all different, and be thankful that you are your own person:D. Hope this helps...

I think being ugly could be a good thing. At least you would know that people aren't just hanger ons, or just trying to bed you for your looks. Your friends would definately be people who would be worth knowing as they have got to know the real you. I don't know how many people will agree with me but looks are not everything. Give me Ricky Gervais over Jude Law any day!!!!

First let me say that I see no ugliness in the world.

To me everyone is precious and beautiful. The closest thing to ugly that I see is the way that some people judge others because of bodily characteristics that no one has any control over.

Ugly is not a good thing and not a bad thing really, im butt ugly, people treat me like crap on their shoe but from 33% of the school i get respect its just the retards who have a go at u coz ure ugly, they're just jelous, lol ^_^

ooh...approximately 4 years in the past i grow to be interior the refrain of the college musical. It grow to be Joseph and his spectacular technicolour dream coat. We have been all dressed up in sequins. sequined sarongs, bandanas, ponchos and then there grow to be the pink rosy cheeks and tarty makeup. It grow to be good exciting. No embarrassment on the time. we rather went to the pub after in complete outfit and makeup. We raised some eyebrows. 2 years in the past we did Calamity Jane. After that we became the community bar right into a Saloon. Cowboy hats, boots, chaps, heavy eye liner and cap weapons.
