What to do with outdated simvastatin 800 mlg? Do you throw it in the dump? Dump it down the toilet? What?

threw the pills in the toilet so a child will not get into it and threw the bottle in the trash. I never brought the medicines back to the store. never heard that before

Flush the pills down the toilet and throw the bottle in the garbage.

Ideally you should return unused medication to your pharmacist, they can dispose of them safely.

At the very least you should put them in your regular rubbish bin.

DON'T flush them down the toilet or drain....that water gets re-cycled and used again.
Okay it gets filtered and purefied but you're still adding a risk into the system, if the drugs become suspended in the water they might not be removed completely.

dump down the toilet. its safer bc u never know if u have any lil kids running around they go in everything even sometimes the garabag.. flushing them down the toilet will prevent them from receving them and be a lot safer.. good luck!!

Any medication not in use should be returned to the chemist/pharmacy they know how to correctly dispose of it.

the best thing that can be done that with out dated medicine is throw it away in the trash
