I've been talking to this guy for about a week and it seemed like we were getting along really well. Sometimes we run out of things to talk about but will think of things after a while. Lately he hasn't really said anything to me, is he sick of having to start the conversations? Would it be better if I talked to him instead? What is he doing?

If you are running out of things to talk about after only a week, then I would say your relationship is doomed from the start. I have been with my hubby for 6 years and we still find plenty to talk about. There are couples who have been together for 20, 40, even 50+ years who still have lively conversations. You would be better off finding someone with whom you are more compatible.

Are you two still communicating on some level? If you are then it could be that you two have run out of things to talk about. Another explanation could very well be that you two talked too much and sometimes that can be a turn off as well. If you two haven't said anything romantic or flirty yet, you could be on your way to falling into the friendship trap.

Instead of just talking and running out of things to talk about, do more things. Go to the mall or the zoo or a museum. Go to places that create topics of discussion.

The fire is slowly dying.

This has happened to me too many times. Maybe he found another girl, I dunno. Sometimes it's just a one week thing.

But don't worry. If he's really interested, in a few months or so you guys will probably talk again and he may (or may not) eventually ask you out.

You can make efforts to keep conversations on, but if it begins to make you look desperate or trying too hard, I suggest letting it go.

Hope this helps. =)

Ya, maybe he's sick of having to start the conversations. You try to talk to him first. If he still has nothing to talk to you then you ask him if you're boring or not.
