my ears stick out, and i really don't like it, i always have my hair down, but i want it up.
i'm 15, and i'll be 16 in june, i heard you can get it done for free if you're under 16 :]
i havn't even mentioned it to my dad, because if i do, he'll say 'stop being so stupid', he doesn't understand.
i know he will say no, but i really want it done, i've always hated my ears ever since i was real young.
i don't know what to do. grr.

seriously, i really can't talk to him about it.
we're not close at all, because all we ever do is argue.
honestly, if i try and speak to him, he'll either ignore me completly, or just tell me to stop being stupid. grr, it's so hard.
i went through a phase where i hated everything about my face & body. but i've learnt to accept myself, but having my ears pinned back would be really good, it would boost my confidence up so much :]
i might as well just wait until i'm 16 :/
6 months :] not that long, do you need your parents signature at the age of 16 though??

he's not being stupid hon.

he's being sensible. everyone has something about them that makes them unique.

i have lips like angeline jolie. well, when i went to school, no one else did. i got teased that they would 'wet my lips and stick me to the wall". i could hardly wait til i got old enough and could have plastic surgury.

well, luckily i realized that would be insane. it was the one thing that made me different.

re your ears sticking out, i would play on that..really i would. wear your hair down over, but let a hint show. elves are cute :)

I'm not sure why you would believe you can have cosmetic surgery for free at any age, or why an underage child can have a surgical procedure without their parents permission. You can't even get your ears pierced without your parents permission at 16.

Where is your mother in all this? Ask her to take you to your doctor and get a professional opinion. Then when you get old enough to make these decisions for yourself, you can do so. However, my guess is that you will just find something else to focus on. Your problem isn't your ears, your problem is you.

Many years ago, my sister had surgery for her ears. It was an amazingly great surgery for her. Helped her self esteem and made a big difference in her life. I say sit your pops down and talk with him like an adult. Maybe do some research first and find out about costs and success stories.
Good luck!

I am sorry but I have not heard about it being free at all no matter what age.

You need to make sure you have all those facts verified before you even think of this.

its only a few more before you could be able to do it without consent.

i knew a boy when i was younger who had his ears pinned back. he never regreted having it done for a minute. maybe,if you explain to your dad how it makes you feel, he'll listen. i've never heard of it being done for free though.
