Fight it in court and probably win since I would be the lineal heir to the estate...
I'm a law student and that is what I would do..after I had them both declared legally incapacitated when said will was drafted..so disagree all you want but any normal person would do the same. I'm not watching my inheritance go to some damn dog...lol.

Hi Suzi. Although I would be upset about being left out in the end I would do nothing. if my parents were rich, it would be obvious that I would have been given a very good education. I would make my own way in the world just like any other person. To be given money by legacy is nothing, to make it on your own brings pride and self satisfaction. They would have had a good reason to leave me out, and I would Honor their decision. Best wishes. Peter

Nothing, Obviously they wanted the money to go somewhere else. The wealth belonged to them not the kid. You need to make your own way in this world. If the off spring is under age then that's pretty crappy. If the off spring is an adult, get over it.

Had it happen to me already. Wasnt a parent but my grandmother. I look at it like this. I guess in her mind I wasnt in need for the money. Everything she had went to my daughter and my mom. She skipped me completely. Its only money and you cant take it with you anyway so why cry over it. Go make it yourself and then when you die you can give it to who you feel is the most in need for it.

Don't sit around waiting for someone to give you what they have worked to earn.
Earn your own money and respect their decision to do what they want with theirs after they are gone.
If there is some kind of conflict with your parents that would cause them to leave you out of their will, work to resolve it, not for the money, but for peace and forgiveness in yourself.

it points out that you have unresolved problems with your parents while they were alive. if you can stand on your own two feet and make good money or getting good income, why you need to be bothered if you are left out of their will. I know it hurts. Best to forgive and show your best to live a good life to your siblings and relatives - at least it is from your effort.

Be grateful as I have tried to get myself written out of everyone in my family's wills. I will make it on my own or not at all.
