what u think about architcture is not the one whichis in the real sense.

achitect jobs deals with buildings, landscape designing, construction planning.. etc in clear sense they deal with aspects of civil and constructioanl enginnering.

"solution architect,j2ee architecture, technical architecture.infomation architecture.application architecture .. etc" these all come under PROGRAMMING .for this u need to be a software engineer.

if u want to be an architect try joining B-arch(bachelors in architecture) in a good institute .intial period as an architect wil be very problamatic and slowly with years of experince u can posiotion ur self as a good one.

But my suggestion for u is to jooin computer related courses as they fetch u much money

get your degree and then worry.

I have a degree in journalism and took it into this
became the manager of facilities for a large commuter railroad. 23 years at the job. Did well financially and also on the side selling houses. Now I am in a fianancial capaicity with one of the cell phone companies.

The degree is one thing but how you can manage your personality and develop your contacts is the more important part of career development.
