I think i must've caught some sort of bug over the christmas holidays. On xmas day i devloped a severe ear ache, on boxing day i developed a headache and cough which got so bad that on xmas night i ended up being sick (am 23 weeks pregnant however) and then on the day after boxing day i got a runny and stuffy nose, and my hubby had caught my cough.

I still have a blocked nose, cough and headache but i'm glad i wasn't the only one who was unwell over the xmas period.

My husband and son are just beginning to recover from what my mum would call 'gastric flu' - aches and pains delightfully accompanied by sickness and the runs. Touch wood I have escaped its worse perils bar having a horrendous headache, sore throat and painful joints. My daughter has defected to her friends house so that her New Years Eve revels are not spoiled!

ive had a cold - mainly a sore throat and then went to my sinuses as always so im sneezy, bunged up, and permenantly dragging my nose sending my family up the wall

but my christmas wasnt ruined - i get head colds quite often and good old nasal spray and a lemsip always does the trick!

Being ill is much nicer with presents, nice food and something to watch on TV. If you call into work sick you can get your annual leave back - UK. But then I used to work in local government.
