I love it. For the proximity to DC, for not being in the middle of nowhere, for being a blue state (lol), for the location.
Lived there for 13 years, in Silver Spring and Olney. I miss it like... a lot, but that's probably mainly because of my friends who are still there.
Anyway, MD beats the crap out of SC, my current residence. =D

I live in Maryland. It is an OK place. I've lived here all my life, though I did live in New York City and West Virginia for a year.
Like with every other state in the U.S., or city around the world, there are many different places to live, each with their own offering.

lived here (MD) all my life. The state is fine. Its the people that I mostly do not like. Most are not very nice at all. Down right rude and aggressive. I aslo hate the winters here. (But love the autumns). I like the bay (love the Gulf of Mexico).
Plan to move south in the next 5 years. I'm wondering what folks think about coastal South Carolina as a place to live, or Florida gulf coast, not Miami. I'm thinking more small coastal town)

My uncle and his family lives in Maryland. It is okay, but not the best place in the world. Baltimore Harbor looks just like Waterside in Norfolk, VA.
