A couple months ago actually, when I was on Yahoo! Answers and fed up. There was some anti-Islam, anti-Muslims post and I decided for myself that I was going to investigate the religion rather than get negative images and stereotypes shoved down my throat. I recommend it to the public - it's very refreshing, learning. I know it's hard for most people to understand, but . . . the media doesn't always tell the truth! GASP! ::rolling eyes::

Guess all you want...

As a boy enters puberty is not "at an early age"...

I have known about the circumcision and eating pork things for well over 20 years... I read about both when I was 15 and doing my research into religions etc.

I can 't speak for everyone, but I have to be honest. For me it was after 9/11. My son has several freinds from the Middle-East and that's how I learned.

In my defense, I really don't care what people's religious dietary restrictions are. Were I to invite someone to dinner, for example, I'd hope they would alert me beforehand what they could and could not eat. Other than that, it isn't info I need to know.

As to the circumcision rules, still don't know and don't really care about that either.

I knew about the mutilation and dietary restrictions more than forty years ago. I also knew that they fire rifles and machine guns in to the air when they are mad, they fire rifles and machine guns in to the air when they are sad, and they fire rifles and machine guns in to the air when they are happy.

I knew they are one of the primitive desert tribes and they do strange things that never should have come out of the desert.

Oh and by the way, the mutilating, without pain relief, of boys between the ages of 5 and 15 is not an early age! This very likely accounts for the atrocious fanatic behavior of some members of this primitive tribe.

Hm, let's see. There's probably 3 educated Americans. I have no idea what they have been taught except I do know that they all eat a pig for dinner every night and the black ones eat a freaking huge pig every night. And they aint just Muslims. And they all have fries with that!

I didn't hear ANYTHING about Muslims being dangerous until after the day of September 11th. Seriously.

I have known that as long as I can remember. If pork is not cooked properly it will give you worms. And being circumcised is much cleaner then not. There have been many little boys that have had infections under the fore skin.
Besides it's more appealing knowing that the area is cleaner.
