You should be on a program for a good diet. Then, along with this, something like "Metamucil" for a daily regime until your IBS slows down some.

To many people today are in a hurry and eat bad, due to no time for proper diets, to many McDonald's and Burger Kings. The Subway is the better of the diets if you have to "fast food" it

Add to this. Drinking alcohol, smoking, junk foods, you've got problems before to long.

Try papaya enzyme. You can find it at the health food store and seems to work great from what I hear. The probiotics are great (you say you take culturelle) if one insnt working try anothother type...give yogurt a shot, it cant hurt and is a great source of the bacillus or Lactobacillus (the same main ingredient found in your culturelle). If that does not help you may want to see a physician to be sure that there isnt a more serious issue at hand, and they can prescibe something for you that may work to relieve your problem. Good luck!!

Your question is way too loaded for anyone to give an answer because you want exacts, and sharing all that would be way to much to compile into a YA. Plus, you give no information about yourself and even if you did, how could anyone tell you EXACTLY what to do? People can give you suggestions or tell you what they are doing for themselves or what has worked for them though. I'm going to tell you what has worked for me. I used to have IBS. I do not have it any more.
- I dewormed myself. Reason being is that if you think you don't have worms, think again. Everybody has them. There are over 1000 species of intestinal parasites that scientists have named & categorized. Then there are some that scientists are still trying to identify. You can't go to a doctor and have them do a fecal (which is the first thing they did to me to try to figure out why I had IBS) and expect them to find them if they are there - none will show up. They were there in though. I got them out by using Dr. Schulzes Intestinal Formulas. It's the #2 that got em, but you have to start using #1 first.
- Another thing I did was restore gut integrity. There's a few books out there that could help you with this. The best one I found is Digestive Wellness by Elizabeth Lipski. Then there's The Makers Diet by Jordans Ruban if you want to learn a little about gut integrity and how that effects your immune system.
- Another thing I did was totally change my diet. And I've been through the gammit of information out there of advise on what to eat and what not to eat. The most useful information that I appled to myself was in knowing things like how hard it is for your body to digest processed foods rather than whole ones, and stuff like what's really in fast food and why you shouldn't eat it ... restaurant foods too. I read books like the Atkins & information on Diabetes & Natural Cures and what I learned helped me some because the changes were good, not bad. The last one that got me over the mountain was in figuring out what blood type I was then eating right for my type. And this happened right after I had a complete physical done by
- A chiropractor. They tell you things that are going on with you that doctors won't even look for, like with me, my body's endocrine system needed help and so did my right brain fuction vs. left brain function. I am one side dominant which effects digestion. Then there is a valve in one spot on my tummy they showed me how to massage to get it unstuck so food would stop going thru me in chunks (coming out that way). It's just something I wouldn't skip making a visit to some ... find one that's into diet & nutrition (some are more than others).
Anyway, these are the main things I've done that's helped me. I feel so much better now. I'm curious to hear in the long run if you get over this like I've been able to do.

Another thing that can sometimes be helpful to treating IBS is a diet high in fiber as well as drinking a lot of water.

I would recommend a consultation with a gastroenterologist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the intestinal tract such as like with IBS) if you haven't already to see what additional suggestions they may have and also to check for other problems in that area that can cause symptoms that mimick IBS.

I also have the link to a site that may have even more information to help out. It's at: http://www.ibdcrohns.com (there is info on this site about IBS)

Take Evening Primrose Oil, a natural anti-inflammatory. However you will have to take the capsules everyday for six months before you notice any improvement and then for the rest of your life. At first you might notice loose bowels but that will clear once your body gets used to the evening primrose oil. Good Luck
