Even though she is fat. People say I would look so much nicer if I lost weight. I like myself the way I am. Why don't they accept this? If a girl has a nice smile and a nice face, guys would you go out with her, especially if she had a sweet personality and was quiet and shy?

I fit your description. Overweight with a nice face. I'm not dating, but I have a couple "close" guy friends who "like" me and flirt with me. They like me because I'm not a drama queen and I have a personality. (I don't want to date til I'm done collage)

Ultimately, if all a guy wants you for is your body, he isn't worth it. There are guys out there who don't care what a girl looks like. However.

It is a fact that yes, guys are immediately attracted to the female form. (For some men this means they only like fat girls)

And it is also a fact that being overweight can be unhealthy. It's also a fact that being too skinny (model skinny) is unhealthy. If you're comfortable with your body and you are not unhealthily overweight, stay that way. You will find a guy who likes you the way you are and it'll be worth it more than dating someone who only wanted a skinny girl. Some people prefer a bit more weight, though. I know a lot of guys who like sweet girls.

Put your health first. Keep in mind as a teenager/young adult it's easier to lose weight. And being skinnier doesn't mean being 100 pounds. Sometimes just losing 10 pounds is enough to look better and feel better about yourself. And that can be easily achieved with exercise and a better diet. And maybe if you feel more confident you'll have better luck with guys. Sounds to me like the fact that everyone tells you that you need to be skinny is crushing your confidence. You don't need to be skinny to attract guys, is all I'm saying. You just need to be confident with yourself.

weight doesnt matter at all,to others...but to the other half, it matters..therefore, i recommend u to lose weight a bit, do not go on crash diet, just avoid fatty foods, and cut some junkfoods and carbohydrates will do.. so u can wear nice good looking dress anytime, not necessarily sexy, so most boys can b attracted to u...be socialize not only with ur friends, but also to other people, be interested to other's hobby/interests...put a little make up too or just a little bit of face powder n light lipgloss/lipstick to enhance ur natural beauty, it will help more to get ur partner u've always wanted..it's a success! i experienced it! and i love my hubby dearly!! and do not forget, ALWAYS WEAR A SMILE!!!!! it surely helps, boys wont be intimidated to u! GOODLUCK!

fact: men like the female form.

fact: attraction is driven by 3 things:
cultural influence. ie: media brain washing that blonds are hotter ie: baywatch, paris hilton, britney, madonna, Marylin etc.
personal preference. ie: some like skinny, some like fit (me), some like bigger curves.
biological aspect: female form.

you need to ask yourself: do you REALLY like the way you are? or are you just resenting social pressure as a female to diet and be subject to striving to looking whatever is in cosmo?

Fact: there are guys that like large women.
fact: most guys like the female form: being big blocks this, and therefore the attraction is lost.

Weight shouldn't matter. Most guys are superficial and go by looks/breasts alone. Which is kinda shallow.

You don't need to lose weight to be loved. You are who you are and I wish you luck in finding someone who loves you as much as you love him.

What you do is completely up to you. You'll find someone who will like you for your qualities. Don't be intimidated by skinny models or whatever. It's their problem if they can't accept you for who you are.
