You have a real way with words. But-The Church is for worship and learning. It's a place where a person can gather with other people and sing, pray, worship, and learn together. What is done and LEARNED INSIDE the Church is to be done and LIVED OUTSIDE the Church God can be worshiped anywhere.

In a civilized society, "there is a place for everything and every thing has to be in its rightful place!"
So in the midst of tall buildings, shops, roads, parks, play grounds, etc.,a building is set apart as the"House of God!"
In the clean and serene atmosphere therein one could be humble before his Lord and sincere in his worship!
The Holy Quran avers that "places of worship". like Churches, Synagogues, and Masjids are the places where God's name is remembered very much .Hence, the very next verse authorising "Jihad" (fightimg in the way of God), in the HolY Quran enjoins the fighters to protect them at all costs!
(Holy Quran 22:40).

External worship, material worship’ ?,’ say the scriptures, ‘is the lowest stage,’ struggling to rise high, mental prayer is the next stage, but the highest stage is when the Lord has been realized., Mark, the same earnest man who is kneeling before the idol tells you, ‘Him the sun cannot express, nor the moon, nor the stars, the lightning cannot express Him, nor what we speak of as fire; through Him they shine.’ But he does not abuse anyone’s idol or call its worship sin. He recognizes in it a necessary stage of life. ‘The child is father of the man.’ Would it be right for an old man to say that childhood is a sin or youth a sin?

idea of a mosque is to worship Allah when you are appropriate(clean) and when your surroundings is appropriate (quiet and clean),
by building mosques how are you hiding the idea of god? A Muslim doesn't have to pray at a mosque he can pray anywhere thats appropriate, so a mosque isnt necessary for worship, if you dont have the resources you can pray in the middle of the desert or in a prison or what ever(at the most appropriate place you have.
like you said God/Allah is omnipresent so he is every where, in/out of the mosque

There is a place for everything. why do you go to school, college etc for studying.? when you are with your friends, you only enjoy with them, you forget your worries, tension etc you dont think of anything else., even God. when you feel the sorrows then only you know what happiness is. For worshipping to God the environment is important so that you feel the pleasure. That is why T C M are there.

No....a building does not a church make. It is the people in the build that make up the church. Whether it is made of brick, cloth or has no walls at all it is what's on the inside that matters.
