No, I don't think mankind will totally disappear. I DO think there will be millions killed in a variety of ways such as disease, famine, earth quakes, volcanoes and the like. I can see another super-tsunami but even worse that the 2004 one.

Every time a disease becomes "impossible" to cure, there are always people who are immune to it. Sure, many deaths, but a few people will still be here and there.

Civilization may take a huge step backward for a time, but humans are amazingly resilient and we have intelligence on our side.

I'm talking in terms of thousands of years, of course, but look at all the information we are putting on various hard drives. Certainly mankind will learn how to use our knowledge.

Or at least, I sure hope so!

mankind might end because of the viruses
but the major reason why mankind should end is the pestilence that prevails in mankind
ppl like Percy Bysshe Shelley...who noticed this and had the guts to write is and show it were always ridiculed and cursed by the society
but what they said was right
mankind has no goodness and will end because of its greed
thats all that shelley wanted to show in his poetry
instead of taking a lesson...ppl called him a mad man
this is the fault of mankind

I believe not, because the viruses will also die, and scientists are also finding ways to kill off the viruses too.

I think a super virus would DEFINITELY contribute to our extinction. It may no be the SOLE reason we go out, but something like that would surely take a chunk of us
