Well it shouldn't matter what your hubby doesn't like, I"m sure it has alot to do with you. Unfortunately, you can't get rid of them completely. Just wash your face morning, afternoon and before bed with warm water and Neutrogena oil free facial bar. Then use witch hazel as a natural astringent. The main thing that causes blackheads is makeup left on overnight, sweating and the dirt build up from sweating and being out and about. Also use oil free make up products and don't eat alot of fried foods or chips since the oils get around your lips and cause blackheads, not to mention wherever else you touch your face with your hands that was holding the foods.

you need a skin cleanser, and probably some multivitamins. As with all things, start with a good facial scrub with hot water and soap. Do a deep cleansing that way, and then get some facial cleansers like Oxi whatever!
Also, if you're getting really oily skin or blackheads a lot, it could be from wearing your makeup too long, and not removing it at night, doing a weekly or monthly facial treatment. You need those things (and I'm a guy tellin' ya! I've been around women my whole life, and you DO pick up on this a bit. While I don't do the mask treatment, I do with the rest!)

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Steam your face with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up its goodness. Blackheads don't usually cause redness. Is it possible you have another skin condition? I think the best thing to do would be to see a dermatologist.
