a truly humble person would never boast and make such a statement.
That would mean they were no longer humble.
was this a serious question? Were you hoping we would realize that in order to be humle, we do not think of ourselves as better than anyone else?
curious. i often don't catch it when a question is just out there to provoke.......someintes i do.....hmmmm

Thats like someone saying "dude let me show you just how modest and humble I am". The statement is a contradiction because it is being said with a prideful attitude, which is clearly not humble.

What's wrong with that statement is that most christians claim that without actually being able to figure out the contradiction.
They are actually capable of feeling proud of their humility!

When someone boasts about how good they are, they are in fact a hypocrite and are probably not that good. Also, by boasting of one's humility it is being the opposite of humble, it's being arrogant. Obviously you're just testing.

Its wrong all around. You can not judge someone to be good based on how "humble" they are. There are other qualities around that states whether a person is good or not.

I assumed by your statement that you were being facetious. By your followup "honestly", I now assume that were serious. Since dictionary.com defines humility as:
the quality or condition of being humble; modest opinion or estimate of one's own importance, rank, etc.
—Synonyms lowliness, meekness, submissiveness.
—Antonyms pride.
Your statement is oxymoronic. It seems that the antonym "pride" is an accurate summation.

Remember the man who beat his breasts? God honored him more than the man who claimed to pay his tithes. God raises the humble.
