Have you talked with her parents yet? Is she living at home or on her own? If she is on her own how is she paying her bills? Does she work? If so how does she get to and from work? Does she have medical insurance? If yes, who's paying for it? Does she have a driver's license? Is she able to drive? If she is disabled is it a genetic problem that could be passed on to a child? Does she need any special assistance? Is yes, what is the cost and how would those costs be covered? There is a lot to be considered before contemplating marriage even without a disability. Make sure you have a lot of information before you marry and that holds true whether your intended is "disabled" or "normal."

I'm not sure where you are from but in Queensland Australia there is laws against it for the protection of the diasabled person. Even having sex with a disabled person when you are not is against the law. It's silly because thats saying that you can only love someone if they are the same as you. Sounds like discrimination to me. But good luck with you two and i hope you can go ahead with your plans.

Having a disablility is purely one thing she has and you will do no longer something to alter that, even marriages have their stumbling blocks and in case you fairly love him you could help him via something and win the race. having a disablility isn't some thing to sense embarrassment approximately and the sister wouldnt ant you to handle her any diverse from every physique else, decide for it and u could have the guy of ur objectives yet actuality isn't a fairy tale. gd success :)

Also try the disabilities section as well as Psychology section in Yahoo.
Speak to a counselor together in church before you embark on the marriage.

She is of legal age.
You would have to see if there has been anyone appointed a legal guradian over her, if not then you are alset. If there is a legal guardian then you may need their consent.

Of course. As long as no one has been appointed to make decisions for her then she makes them herself, just like any other women.
