If you're working to be the best person you can be, and all the usual positive things that most folks hold to be morally correct, you are not going to hell (if you choose to believe in such a place)
There are many faiths older than Christianity and Judaism, I find it hard to believe that all of those people would have just been left to roast. Doesn't sound like a reasonable solution.
EVEN if you choose to believe that Jesus is the one and only way to salvation, you have to remember his message of universal love, acceptance, and forgiveness. So what if you get confused? Jesus has promised to forgive you once you accept him. Do you really think a God that would sacrifice his only son, and not give you one more chance to get it right after a lifetime of being a good person before he plopped you in a lake of fire? BAH!
SO even if the Christians are really right about the whole deal, the ENTIRE premise of Jesus' existence is to forgive humanity. He's not designed to give up just because you have a little doubt.
Be a good person, love yourself and your neighbors. God is quite aware of good works. He'll sort out the paperwork.

i am guessing you have been far from church for a long time, and now are wondering what you really believe in, the thing is that there is a lot of people in this world, each person explains the bible how they them self see it, the truth is that religion came as the foundation for humanity, if there was no religion everyone would be in every-ones face. Christianity means believing in god, his son Jesus, and the holy spirit. If you really want to know in what to believe in do a little research, if you want to know about Jews go to a Jews church don't go to a christian church, although they both believe in the same thing the both don't know about the other religion do this to a couple religions don't just stay in one and say i am hear feed me, and you will find out that everyone believes in the same thing, which is neat.
Hope i helped

I know how you feel. My dad was raised in the south, and my mom was raised by a hardcore catholic. They are both very religious. But, I cannot bring myself to trust the bible, or organized religion. It seems to much like they are trying to use people, and I don't like it. Yes, I understand the bible is supposed to be god's word, but I doubt he wrote it himself. And the unscrupulous could easily take advantage of that. I don't think your going to hell. I figure, if god is such a wise, kind, benevolent, and understanding being, then he will know your issues, and will not punish you for doing things your way. He couldn't ask for anything more than you doing your best to be a good person, right? I don't know what it's called. It's not agnosticism, but it certainly isn't any other formed religion. I call it "self-determined spirituality". I like it. Seems catcy :D

NOPE. You're on the right track!
Have you seen the silliness of manmade religion and the parts in the Bible that man twisted around suggesting that a perfect being operates by fear, doom, wrath, incest, hate, murder, spite, and judging? LOL.
Religion is for people who are trying to keep from going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.
Fear motivation is a human failing. A perfect being wouldn't roll like that. Even Jesus on earth didn't roll like that. I always thought it was about love. Christianity was made up long after he left. Jesus taught a way of living and being and doing. That is all.
Christians never seem to question this notion that somehow a perfect being needs something from them or that somehow a perfect being could be displeased by them. LOL.
No one thinks it just a little too 'human' to worship a sacrificial God by means of eating his flesh and drinking his blood at an altar? Huh? Am I being punked?
We are the most over fed and over protected people in the world. Fear of losing that security gets many people wrapped up in fearful religions, not love. Some of them act out and then try to suggest it's a God thing.
What counts is how we treat one another here on earth. God is going to be just fine. Always come from love and you'll never be lost. It's that unbelievably simple.

I completely understand what you're going through. I was raised christian but currently consider myself agnostic. There is a definitive answer though. We will know (or in the case of non-existence) not know the answer upon our deaths. I'm one who believes in the idea of a universal truth. So, no matter what you personally believe, you will find out one way or the other and the truth won't change no matter what you personally believe.
So believe whatever makes you feel most comfortable?
Gosh, was that helpful at all? haha

You are wrong when you say the Bible says your ancestor's souls are in hell because they never had the chance to know Jesus. Those who reject Jesus will not be in heaven, but God is fair, and those who never had the chance to know Jesus had the chance for salvation based on how they lived their lives. Since you say you don't believe in hell, what difference does my opinion make?

The mind is the battle field.
The scritures will help you with with the thoughts in your mind.
The creator is Jesus Christ . There is no such thing as reincarnation any time and yes there is a hell.

Obviously you didn't read your bible very well.
Go back and re-read the parable about the good samaritan, and you will discover what it means to be a 'true' Christian. Here's a hint: it doesn't involve bible reading or singing loudly in church.
BTW, Samaritans were considered unclean at the time of Jesus.
As for going to hell, there is enough 'hell' here on Earth that one does not need to look for it further after they are dead.

It looks to me like you're experiencing doubt...it's not too odd. It's pretty simple sometimes to doubt your salvation and you may even disregard it and not believe it.
All you need to do is build some experience with God and His presence and doubt on your salvation is no longer a worry.
You may also want to see if your disagreements with the Bible are valid...cause if it's truth then it's designed to set you free from doubt and what not...
