Firstly I would like to point out that I am not intending on having children anytime soon, but I decided I would like to know a everyone's opinion on what the best time is to have a baby. It seems like everyone is having children earlier and earlier and I was just wondering what the min.-max. age people think is good for having babies

Minimum age 23-25 Oldest age 35-37.
I had my first at 20, I had to grow up fast and sit back and watch as my friends had a great time going out when they turned 21, going to college, etc. I am pregnant with my second at 25, this is probably when I should've been having my first.
Also, there is much more to consider...you shouldn't have a baby AT ALL until you are financially stable and involved in a very serious relationship where you both agree it is a good choice at that time to have a child. They are a big responsibility, trust me it is a rewarding experience but only have kids when you truly are ready, that is what is best for them. There is no better feeling then to know you can provide both the needs and most of the wants for your child.

I think about 25 and up, but before 40, is a good window of time to have kids. Obviously teenagers shouldn't be having kids, and lot of people even in their early twenties are not really financially stable, and are still immature and selfish and it probably wouldn't be a good thing to get themselves tied down so young. To be honest, most people I know of who did have kids before 25 ended up struggling financially, splitting with the baby's mother/father within a year of the child being born, and they were too busy working just to make ends meet - and often still going to school too - be around for the child much (the grandparents ended up being the primary caregivers).
But of course, once you hit 40, your pregnancy will be considered very "high risk" and there is a much greater chance of complications, so I don't think it's a good idea to wait quite that late either.

Both me and my partner had always wanted to have children. I'm 26 wks pregnant, it wasn't a planned thing but it wasn't something that was a bad thing either since we both wanted children. So we thought. Now that it is on it's way and we are about to be parents we both realize after talking to so many different people that we could never have prepared enough for how being a parent is about to change everything about our lives. I really don't think that there is a good age to have children cause like I said no matter how much you prepare youself you are really never prepared for what it's really like. I think that the best advice I can give you is to make sure that you and your partner are truly ready, fiancally and it's something that you really want and not just something that you think that you have to do.

I am 22 and my son is 11 months old I am so glad I didnt wait to have children I have such a happy life. I dont know how 30 year old women cope with a new born baby getting up in the middle of the night etc. You are most fertile in your early to mid 20's so that must be saying something right. ?

Your fertility starts to drop over 30, with a marked drop-off after 35. I think 25 is a good age to start having children, but unfortunately life doesn't work out like that sometimes. I'm still looking for Mr Right 7 years on.

The age that any woman should ever think about having a child is after they have done everything they wanted to do. Because as soon as you have a child you are not ever able to do the things you ever want to do. I have notices all these teenage whore who are now mother because they have never took the time to think about their future. If you need a time, it would have to be between 25 the YOUNGEST and 40 the oldest.

I had mine (I should say I am having mine ) in my early 20s. It feels right for us.
I had my boys at 21 & am due in May again and I will be 23.
I don't think there is a real age that everyone should follow. What works for one, may not work for another.

I think that if you are not married, kids shouldn't be on your mind. But I would say 23 at the youngest and no oldest. Everybody deserves to have kids without being criticized because they're older or younger. What's done is done.

Its different for everyone, it all depends on the person, really. Child wise... I think sometime in the 20's is the best though. Give or take a few years.

I think that a person should be financially stable, have a good job, a house, and a loving spouse who wants kids as well.
