Like when the plane you're riding is going to crash, your friend/family is severely injured and being operated, you're in a building surrounded by terrorists etc.?

If supernatural events ensue, technological awareness, which deals with the organic, can not coach them. of course, technological awareness could be very helpful in debunking "miracles" with glaring organic motives. in line with threat the wisest element to declare approximately miracles is that in the event that they ensue, they are vanishingly uncommon. In inquiring approximately physicians and prayer, you're very almost intentionally finest the dialogue astray. regardless of the existence/nonexistence of miracles and of the flexibility/impotence of prayer, sufferers and families are human, and homo sapiens is a non secular animal. When faced with a situation over which one has no control, there are several ways of dealing with the stress. One can fidget, distract oneself with other activities, become violent, consume alcohol or drugs, pray or fanatasize about being in control. None of these has much chance of affecting the outcome, but they help pass the time.

At a time of crisis, I'm more likely to struggle, even against the odds, I'll take my chance to make a difference. Prayer, ( or talking to thin air as I see it,) isn't very conducive to getting anything done -- it's more a way to lose all hope quicker, to surrender to "fate" and perhaps feel comforted while doing it.

Hope is a worthy emotion and ones hopeful efforts are sometimes fruitful, but prayer, (hope without giving personal effort,) is always waste of ones time.

Contrary to popular belief, there ARE atheists in foxholes.

Why would you even think that an atheist would pray?

Your schizophrenia is treatable, just put away that ancient version of Harry Potter, and watch football on Sunday's instead.

no, your belief should grow stronger, to begin if your always optimistic you will always find the good sides of everything,no exceptions, if your not optimistic and smart you will find the error in everything and you will dig your own grave.
Do the best that you can in every situation and leave the rest to god and you will always get what you want.

Nope. I believe in the help of the PEOPLE around me. The ones that actually did something to try and save me, or help us..etc.. They were the ones and i will give them the credit.

Reminds me of the Christian who promised god he would attend church more regularly if only he would provide a parking space. At that very moment a parking space appeared and the Christian said "Don't worry God, I found one myself."

Nope. I would be busy and telling others to stop praying and help deal with the situation.
