it means that the righteous will inherit the earth and the earth will be 'made anew' but the righteous don't go to heaven when they die they go in the grave and await the ressurection.

I am not a priest or pastor, and I do not have my Bible readily available, but I will give this my best shot!
I can understand your confusion, and I would take these verses to mean a few things. I think that they mean while we are living on earth, we will inherit God's blessings if we do the right things. Also, when we die, we will inherit the earth, perhaps meaning that we will be part of God's kingdom, and own all that comes with it. But I'm not sure either, I'm just offering an optional take on it.
As for the second question, I don't think that this necessarily means that God will never destroy the earth, but I don't really know.
If you don't get the answers you are seeking on here, I would totally go ask your priest or pastor, or look online. There is a website that goes into deep explanation of each scripture but I don't recall what it is.
Also, I'd just like to pass along a warning to be very careful when seeking spiritual input on the internet - there are lots of wackos!!! Be sure to protect yourself and take everything you see on here with a grain of salt. A good talk with a trusted Christian leader in your community would be your best bet. Good luck!

THERE WILL BE A NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH
Does Satan have 6130 years and Jesus have 1000 years?
Is judgement day admonishment in righteousness? John 12:47,48;
1Cor.15:22-28,51-53; As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive [ in order ];
Heb.9:27; It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement.
2Cor.5:10 [ the judgement ]; John 5:26-29 [ resurrection ]; Rom.14:9-12 [ judgement ]; Isa.26:19 [ resurrection ]; Dan.12:2 [ Resurrection ]; Acts 17:31 [ the judgement ]; Acts 24:15 [ resurrection of just and unjust ]; Philip.2:5,9-12 [ the judgement ], Psm.104:29,30 [ resurrection ]; Matt.19:28 [ Eze.37:12-14 [ the resurrection and the judgement ]; Job 19:25,26 [ reedemed for earth ];
Rev.11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Rev.14:1-7 [ redeemed for heaven, Heb.12:22-24; John 6:39,40,44; 14:3; Mark 13:27; Rev.3:12 ]; Rev.20:1-6,12,13; No Satan 1000 yrs, the heavenly [ for the new heavens ], are with Jesus at his second coming to resurrect the earthly for the new earth. Rev.21:1-5;
HOW MANY ARE PERFECT ENOUGH TO PASS INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD?
SOME NEVER MAKE IT. Rev.20:7-10; Rev.21:8;

Ecclesiastes is dealing with mortal life and how we place so much importance on " WHAT I HAVE DONE" yet in the end nothing we do will keep us around a minute longer to enjoy it when it is our time to die. You have been born, you will eventually die just like the millions of people who have been born and died before you. It is a cycle that has not ended yet.
In Psalms 37 God states that the cycle will end. He gives the promise of eternal life for those who believe and eternal damnation for unbelievers(the wicked). And he states that all who believe will be there to see the end of this cycle and the wicked in verse 34. (which also means the resurrection of those believers who have died)
But for consideration you may want to look at Matthew 6:19-21. This is what those in Psalms 37 are doing(the meek, the upright, the righteous). They are living there life seeking after God.

There is still the Millennial reign of Christ to come for 1000 years. After that, the Great White throne judgment. Then a new Heaven and a new Earth.
The former will have passed away.
Read Revelation 20-22

Ahh it sounds like a JW question.. You miss understand that when Christians talk about Heaven it is a anyplace where Jehovah God is... However at the end of all things Revelations teaches that what Christians call Heaven will be a restored "New earth" just like you believe in. PS ..Good Adventist answer Little Angel.

Concerning Ecclesiastes, Solomon wrote, " vanity of vanities; all is vanity'. Solomon was lamenting on the emptiness of life without God. To him it seemed like the earth would last forever in such a state of repeatedness. He writes that life is empty and useless, with the cycles of nature and history repeating themselves. With God every day has meaning. Proverbs tells us, " His mercies are new every morning". There's a newness to each day with God that Solomon obviously was not experiencing. To inherit the earth simply means to receive and enjoy the provisions of God through obedience to Him. When you truly serve God with your heart, you become acutely aware of the evil-doings and those who cause such activity. You sometimes feel like you're surrounded by evil. There's good reason to feel like that: you are. When you trust and obey, the Lord will help you and deliver you from the wicked. Thank you for posting this question. I enjoyed answering it and hope it helps you in seeking the truth.

Greetings to all in the name of the Lord Jesus and thank be to God the Father and creation of all things, let's get to it...
The above scriptures make reference to those who receive the Lord Jesus and continue in the doctrine of God (through obeying his commandments) henceforth bearing the title righteous. These are those who abandon their old ways of thinking and living to take on a lifestyle and that is the way of holiness.
In the same letter it reference those who choose to turn away from the commandments of God, denying the truth of God in their very hearts.
In these scriptures and in all scriptures it is clear that those who choose to deny God the creator of all things; those who do not accept the Lord Jesus will have their reward where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. In other words they will spend their eternity in hell.
Read the 1st chapter of the book of Romans and you will find that it touch on the reward of the unrighteous in depth and detail.
peace to all...

It means that only men would make up stories full of human failings and try to suggest that it has something to do with a perfect being.
Religion is for people who are trying to keep from going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.
Fear and doom motivation is a human failing. A perfect being wouldn't roll like that. Even Jesus on earth didn't roll like that. I always thought it was about love. Man wrote the Bible long after Jesus left. He never taught Christianity. It didn't exist. He taught a way of living and being and doing. That is all. They don't make Jews like Jesus anymore.
This is a human notion that somehow a perfect being needs something from them or that somehow a perfect being could be displeased by them. LOL.
No one thinks it just a little too 'man like' to worship a sacrificial God by means of eating his flesh and drinking his blood at an altar?
What counts is how we treat one another here on earth. God is going to be just fine. Always come from love and you'll never be lost. It's that unbelievably simple.
