do you add a point or subtract? my sons temp. under the arm is 101.8. so what would that be?

Add a degree. 102.8. Depending on his age you need to give him some tylenol or motrin and a cool wipe down to lower his temp and schedule him a dr.s appt.

Take her to the hospital immediately! Take her clothes up rap her in a light blanket, give her some cool water, and take her to the doctor or ER. 101-102 is safe anything higher need to be attended to. She can die or cause brain damage. Normal body tempurature is 98.6 that is so high. Give her lots of cool water and go to the ER ASAP!
