Atheist teach?
I am here to preach, teach, and not to leech.
There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

I come here to learn and make people like you upset enough to educate your self and it works see ! You learned something new today ! I never forced you you did it on your own . I figure that at this rate in 4 or 5 years you will be educated enough to make a intelligent decision about what you really believe { baby steps , baby steps } . About that point you will become a atheist yourself . Annoying huh ?
East coaster & joannlyn however seem hopelessly deluded so isn't it nice to know you have potential ?

There's an atheist preacher? I've had never read a question or answer where an atheist was preaching belief. But the night is still young.

I like to discuss, maybe debate. I never preach. I try to learn about religion's place in society, and since society is so prone to being online nowadays it kind of gives another perspective than what I've gotten talking to people of different faiths face-to-face.

Mostly to let off steam. In real life, nobody even considers their to be atheists anywhere, so they just argue amongst themselves about the religions. Atheists almost never get a chance to speak and be heard elsewhere, so we must resign ourselves to online forums (as pitiful as it might sound) to vent and let off steam at other religious people who preach on here AND get the chance to preach outside.
Education is also big with us. Not to be "preachy" (get it, its ironic because of your question, tee-hee) but atheists tend to be more open to others

Destroying irrational beliefs is not the same as instilling belief.
I can't speak for everyone, but I don't want to instill belief in anyone. I simply offer the tools with which one can draw rational conclusions.

We go through this every single day. I'm going to have to start "preaching" use of the search bar.

I don't come here to preach, I come here specifically to ask and answer questions about religion. I come here to learn.

I don't preach. Actually, I don't even have anything *to* preach. I don't believe in God(s), and I don't mind saying so, but I don't have any beliefs to push.

How about another perspective.
If god-believers are not interested in what atheists have to say, why do they question them?
If you are not interested in other people's perspectives, just don't participate in a Q&A forum.
Why doing something you don't like and then complain about it??!!
